Description: | Waterloo Station will cover an area of approximately 12,000 square metres and will be an open box construction with excavation for the station box along the eastern sector of the site (Figure 2.1 and Figure 2.2). The station box will be excavated to a depth of approximately 25m to connect with the rail tunnel, requiring the removal of about 115,000 cubic metres of spoil. Site offices, workshops, water treatment facilities and storage areas would be established during construction on a temporary working platform constructed at street level over the open excavation area |
