Description: Legacy Property Pty Ltd ('Legacy') is currently undertaking the staged subdivision and residential development of a collection of lots known as Caddens Hill, within the former Caddens Release Area at Caddens NSW. The Caddens Hill development area is located approximately five kilometres south east of the Penrith CBD in western Sydney and falls within the Penrith Local Government Area (LGA). The development area comprises a series of lots located between O'Connell Street and Caddens Road (Figure 1). Previous studies undertaken as part of the planning process for the Caddens Release Area included assessment of historic (non-Aboriginal) · heritage. Environmental Resources Management Australia (ERM) completed a combined Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal heritage assessment to inform the initial Development Masterplan and Local Environment Plan (LEP) for the area (ERM 2007). One item of historic heritage was identified within the assessment area: a ruined house located within current Lot 1 DP 1225593.
