| Description: | The West Mating Revival Life Centre is housed within a pristine Queen Anne style residence. It is located at 663-669 King Georges Road in Penshurst, 17 kilometres south of central Sydney. Also known as Weigall House, the residence is situated in the Local Government Area of Kogarah, the Parish of St George and the County of Cumberland. Built in 1889, the Queen Anne style residence remains an integral part of Sydney's late Victorian era. A photographic archival recording of the historic residence was requested by Bay Building Services on the 11th of July 2017. This photographic record of West Maling (Revival Life Centre) and its surrounds, includes photographs before, during and after recent works, as taken in August, September and December 2017. It is intended to contribute to our understanding and appreciation of the Queen Anne style of architectural design and the development of inner Sydney suburbs, as well as to provide a long-term record for present and future generations. |
