dc.descriptionThe inaugural Newcastle 500 Supercars event will be held on 24-26 November 2017. This is the first in a series of five Supercar races over five years. Each race will be the series finale of the Supercars Australia season. The Newcastle 500 is a weekend of events that will deliver an economic boost to the Hunter region. More than 80,000 visitors are expected to travel to the event, year on year, over the next five years, spending $57 million. The event will receive national and global TV coverage. The Newcastle East circuit has been designed to showcase the, past and present, City of Newcastle to a national and global audience, provide interesting and competitive racing, incorporate all international motor racing safety standards, provide opportunity for local business to prosper as well as delivering a world class event for the people of Newcastle.en
