NGH Environmental (NGH) was commissioned by Design Worldwide Partnership (DWP) on behalf of the City of Canada Bay Council to undertake an archaeological assessment for the proposed redevelopment of Concord Oval, Concord NSW. The proposed redevelopment area is part of a heritage inventory listing for the local heritage site of St Lukes Park Entrance, listed on the Canada Bay Shire Council Local Environmental Plan (2013) Heritage Schedule (LEP 10#: 1308). The information contained within the listing details St Luke's Park as the former location of the Longbottom (Convict) Stockade, and references areas of the stockade boundary and Longbottom farm visible within the greater boundary of St Luke's and Cintra Parks. The details within the local listing also acknowledge the need for further investigation into Longbottom Stockade and its archaeological potential.en
